Where Do Article Ideas Come From?

Do you have a problem coming up with ideas for your articles? You don’t have to. You should spend about 30 minutes once a month coming up with ideas for articles. When you do this, brainstorm as many article ideas as you can in that 30 minutes. Don’t think about whether or not those ideas are any good. Just write down every idea you can think of.

Here are some prompts to help you generate ideas for articles:

1. What are some of the most frequently asked questions you get from your customers?
2. What things are you most proud of about your company?
3. How about your industry?
4. What are the tools that you need to be effective in your area of expertise?
5. Name some well known people in your industry that you can interview
6. What current events related to your industry can you write about?
7. What other resources can your customers turn to for information about your niche?
8. What are some things that need to be fixed about your industry?
9. What changes or developments have occurred in your industry in the last 5-10 years?
10. Where do you see your industry headed in the next 5-10 years?

If you can come up with three article ideas for each of these prompts then you’ll have 30 articles – that’s one article per day for an entire month. Then it will be time to brainstorm again.
