Twitter Stops Feeding The Google Monster

Image representing Google as depicted in Crunc...

Google feeling rejected like a jilted lover? There was a time when every company wanted to hook up with Google on whatever project they could. Google seemed invincible, a juggernaut.

But, with Facebook challenging Google for being the website with the most traffic, there seems to be a chink in Google’s armor and they are no longer everyone’s darling.

Google still has more hits, but FaceBook owns people’s time. People spend hours on FaceBook while only a few seconds on Google as they do a search.

Everyone in the Internet Marketing and SEO world seemed to be always looking for what might be the “Google Killer” and several up and comers had that title given to them prematurely only to find out they were not the Google Killer everyone thought they were.

Most also thought that a new search engine would be that Google Killer. But, maybe not. Maybe it’s faceBook. Maybe it’s Twitter, maybe it’s something else entirely. Or maybe Google is still invincible.

Neurological Marketing With Articles

Neuroscientist Adam Wilson posted a message on Twitter using nothing but his brain. No hands. No feet. No fingers. No typing. Just thinking. Instant message.

While the idea was to create technology that would allow people with disabilities to join in the conversation, that’s not the end of how this technology can be used. It also has great potential for article marketers on the go.

If you can send a tweet from your brain around the world in 80 seconds with Twitter then you should be able to send an article to your favorite article directory, right? Well, not yet. But it’s just a matter of time before someone takes the Twitter API and this new technology and combine them to allow article submissions by brain waves. When that happens, article marketing will have taken the next leap from Internet marketing dinosaur to 21st century phenomenon. Will you be there?

TwitWall: One More Article Marketing Tool You Should Try

I recently discovered a new article marketing tool. It’s called TwitWall and if you are a Twitter user, and if not you should be, then you automatically have a TwittWall that you can post to.

TwitWall is essentially a blog for Twitter. Since Twitter limits your tweets to 140 characters, an enterprising entrepreneur created TwitWall to allow Twitterers a way to write more than 140 characters if they need to. TwitWall allows you to post thoughts that cannot be condensed to 140 characters and sends an automatic tweet to promote the posts each time you make one. Here’s how you can use it for article marketing:

  • Write an article
  • Perform your normal article marketing routine and distribute your article
  • Post your article to your TwitWall

It’s really that easy. Be sure to include your author bio or a link to your website at the end of your articles on TwitWall. You can see a sample article on my TwitWall here.

13 Article Directories You’ll Find On Twitter

We decided to go looking for article directories on Twitter and found out there are quite a few article directory owners who use Twitter. EzineArticles, the most popular article directory online, sends out a tweet every time one of its members publishes a new article. Other article directories with a presence on Twitter include (note the links are directly to their Twitter profiles):

If you’re looking for article directories to connect with on Twitter, feel free to follow these directories or owners of directories. And be sure to follow me too.

Can You Promote Articles Through Twitter?

Article marketers are always looking for new ways to promote their articles and their websites through articles. Twitter has gained in popularity over the last couple of years and from what I can see it appears to be entering into a hey-day period where it will grow fast and furious. In that regard it is likely following in the footsteps of Facebook. But if you are an article marketer, can you use Twitter to promote your articles?

Yes, you can. There are a number of ways you can promote your articles through Twitter. Here are a few:
