How Blogspot Can Improve Your Article Marketing Campaigns

Blogspot is often overlooked as a resource for article marketers, but it doesn’t take much effort to make it pay for you. One of the hottest properties online, Blogspot is a great resource for article marketers if you use it correctly and in moderation.

First, make sure that you use your own articles and do as many Blogspot marketers do and “borrow” other people’s articles only to deactivate the links then point people to their own properties. You can use the articles that you submit to the directories. Just be sure to activate the links in your author resource box so that you get the inbound links to your website. Here’s what you do and how you do it:

  1. Set up a Blogspot account
  2. Start a blog and upload one article with your resource box and link
  3. Wait a few days and start another blog
  4. Use a different article and upload it to your new blog
  5. Repeat this process up to ten times

I do not recommend having more than ten blogs. You don’t want to raise any red flags with Google’s spam team. But if you do this in moderation then you can build some effective back links with traffic. Be sure that you use a separate article for each blog.

Is Article Marketing Better Than PPC?

This is a good question, but I’m not sure this article marketer answers it adequately. Of course, being an article marketer, I’m partial to article marketing, but that doesn’t mean that PPC doesn’t have any value. Here are my responses to the comments he makes in this article:

Article Marketing Vs PPC – Which is Better?

By Arunraj V.S

Article marketing is unarguably, the cheapest and the best way to market your online business effectively. They say talent is of no use unless your market it. No matter how good you write, no matter your master in the subject, you will get very less visitors to your site, unless you do article marketing.

First off, this guy writes like he used a voting machine to create his article. The grammar is awful. But to address his point, article marketing is inexpensive but is it “the cheapest” way to market your business effectively? That depends.

There are article writers out there that will charge you $2 per article to write. But I wouldn’t use them. You get what you pay for, and you are likely to get articles with bad grammar and syntax in them like the one I’m using in this blog post. Even if you do your own article marketing, there is a price. Your time is one cost. But you may also not do the most effective article marketing on your own. Sometimes it is best to let the experts do what they do best so that you reap the maximum results.

There are well known article directories online like EzineArticles, goarticles, searchwarp.com etc, which guarantees broad readership for your articles. Compared to PPC or pay per click advertising which can burn a hole in the pocket, article marketing is an equally effective means of advertising and a free one at that too. In PPC, you have to work a daily budget and make advertisments that will trigger in search pages and content pages. It is a laborious task which also costs a lot, something beyond the reach of a common man.

PPC doesn’t have to be expensive. There are controls, such as a daily and monthly budget so that you don’t lose control. And, yes, there are things you have to do to run a successful campaign, but keep in mind that PPC and articles can reach two important markets for your product or service. You may reach people with PPC that you won’t reach with articles, and vice-versa. Rather than use an either/or approach, why not use both strategies to target your market and achieve higher ROIs?

It is better to go for article marketing where you can get the same amount of exposure, backlinks and readership to your article at zero cost. Also in article marketing, you are giving something of value or substance for a person to read through rather than a mechanical ad which seems machine generated. Article marketing is making the right use of the keywords in your content so that when one uses those keywords, he or she lands up directly at your article in the article directory.

I concur with all of this, but as noted above, PPC can drive traffic to your website and targeted traffic is the name of the game.

Through article directories, you can also get effective backlinks. When you send your articles to major article directories, you can back links which increases the page rank or popularity of your blog or website. Also unlike PPC, article marketing is more permanent and long term. You can still make money from an article of yours five years after you have published it. That is the magic of article marketing.

This is all true and marks the real purpose and advantage of article marketing. PPC cannot deliver back links to your website. Articles can. And those benefits are long term. Still, I like PPC as a short term strategy. I also like article marketing as a long term strategy.
