TwitWall: One More Article Marketing Tool You Should Try

I recently discovered a new article marketing tool. It’s called TwitWall and if you are a Twitter user, and if not you should be, then you automatically have a TwittWall that you can post to.

TwitWall is essentially a blog for Twitter. Since Twitter limits your tweets to 140 characters, an enterprising entrepreneur created TwitWall to allow Twitterers a way to write more than 140 characters if they need to. TwitWall allows you to post thoughts that cannot be condensed to 140 characters and sends an automatic tweet to promote the posts each time you make one. Here’s how you can use it for article marketing:

  • Write an article
  • Perform your normal article marketing routine and distribute your article
  • Post your article to your TwitWall

It’s really that easy. Be sure to include your author bio or a link to your website at the end of your articles on TwitWall. You can see a sample article on my TwitWall here.

How Google Friend Connect Can Help You With Article Marketing

Whether you use Google Friend Connect on your site or you sign up to be a member on someone else’s website, you can promote your articles through your Google Friend Connect profile. Every time you sign up to be a part of someone’s network with Google Friend Connect, you have access to all of their members and your profile shows the links to all the sites that you have joined. Same of all the other members. But you also get to add links to your own websites and anywhere else on the web that you want to promote. Why not add a link to an article directory where you have a profile and a lot of articles published?

By promoting an article directory with your articles and profile, you are giving interested publishers easy access to content they need for their websites and e-zines. That’s what article marketing is all about. It’s one more way you can promote yourself and build authority.

Article marketers are always looking for new ways to promote their articles and their websites through articles. And Now For A Little Political Humor

John McCain makes everyone – including Barack Obama – laugh:

And now from Barack Steve Obama:

Too bad they were reading from speeches.

But I do, I really do, I like speech writers. They have a lot in common with article writers. Except that our punch lines are limited to 700 words.

Turn Your Articles Into A Teleseminar

If you have enough articles in your arsenal you can turn them into a teleseminar. All you need to do is extract the information in them and use them as notes for your seminar.

You’ll need to be able to talk about your information at length, however. You should be able to talk for 15 minutes about each topic you write about in one article. If your articles are organized correctly then they should cover one topic each. For a one-hour seminar, you’d need four articles.

Be prepared to go into a little more detail in your teleseminar. It takes just a couple of minutes to read an article, but in a teleseminar you can cover more ground in the same amount of time. What you want to do is pique the interest of your target market and keep them buying your products and services, or interest them in such products and services. A well laid out teleseminar can do that.

You’ll need to sign up for a delivery system. There are several teleseminar providers online. We use GotoMeeting. Take the articles that you will use for your seminar and make an outline from them. Highlight the key points of each article. Prepare for the use of four articles, but create an outline of an extra article in case you finish the seminar early. If you only cover four then that’s OK.

Make sure that when you market your seminar that you tell your listeners exactly what you will cover in the seminar. And if you market that you’ll discuss four topics, be sure that you cover every topic. Also allow some time at the end of the teleseminar for questions.

It’s a little more involved than this, but this is a good snapshot for what to expect when turning articles into a teleseminar.

Expand Your Article Marketing With A Social Widget

If you use article marketing to drive traffic to your website then you have another tool to help you do that. EzineArticles, the most popular article directory online, offers a widget for article marketers.

This is a useful tool because you can put the widget on your website or blog and drive traffic to your articles. Some of those people reading your articles will use them on their own blogs and websites, expanding your reach into the online marketplace. You can also offer the code for your widget so that other people in your niche can put your articles on their own blog or website, giving you even more exposure online.

Using Articles And Bookmarks To Supercharge Your Viral Marketing

Two days ago I posted on the Blog Content Provider blog how you can use articles in conjunction with blogging to deliver a whopping sucker punch to the search engines and increase your search marketing mojo. Well, did you know you can have a similar effect with article marketing and social bookmarking? No kidding.

Article marketing has always been considered one of the forms of viral marketing. Now, with the advent of social bookmarking, you can take that viral marketing to the extreme. Social bookmarking is viral marketing on steroids.

Try this little marketing experiment for 30 days:

Write 10 articles. Distribute those 10 articles to 10 article directories, one per day for 10 days. After that, bookmark each article at at one of the many bookmarking websites online. You effectively have 100 articles (10 X 10). If you bookmark 5 a day for the next 20 days then you’ll have them all bookmarked at the end of the 30 day experiment.

I suggest that you pick 10 bookmarking websites and focus on those 10. Create a spreadsheet to track your bookmarking. On the top of the spreadsheet, list all 10 article directories where your articles were submitted. Along the left side of the spreadsheet, list your 10 articles. You can use a service like www.socialmarker.com. Go down your list of articles and pick the sites you want to bookmark that article at. It won’t take long using the SocialMarker site. When you’re done, move on to the next article. Do five one day then the next day do five more until all of your articles at each of the directories have been bookmarked.

As you are doing this, check your traffic stats daily and see how much traffic you are getting from each of the websites. If the article directories have stats that allow you to check traffic, even better. That way, you can see how the bookmarking is affecting the articles. But you should expect some of those articles to be picked up and published by others within your industry or niche. Before they publish your article, they’ll likely visit your website. Not everyone who reads your article will visit your website so be prepared for a trickle down effect. But it does work. Viral marketing added to viral marketing equals super viral marketing.
