Article Marketing – How to Get a Dramatic Increase in Traffic to Your Website

If you’ve just published your new website then this can be a very exciting time for you! But a great looking site can’t bring in any money without visitors because no one will know your site is there. Generating strong traffic sources is absolutely critical to the success of your website.

So — how do you attract traffic to your website? There are several ways. One of our favorites is called “article marketing”.

Article Marketing is simply where you write articles related to the topic of your online product and then submit your articles to online directories. These directories will publish your articles online where people can read them. When an interested buyer reads your article, they can click through to your site by using a link you place at the end of the article.

Now, you say, “But I’m not a writer!” Believe me, it’s not as hard as it sounds. With Article Marketing, your first article may take longer to write if you’re not used to writing, but it gets easier and easier. Just write something about your product that would interest a typical buyer.

For example, if you’re selling widgets, and your widgets are the latest version with lots of features – pick one feature to write about! You should also include a small section at the end of your article that tells the reader a little about you and your expertise. And, you must insert a clickable link to your website so that interested readers can click through to your site and learn more about your product. Note: When you are using Article Marketing, be sure to proofread your article to eliminate any spelling and grammar mistakes – Directories don’t like those and they don’t make a good impression on the reader.

Next, submit your article to some of the major article directories. Just type in “article submission” or “article directories” into your favorite search engine to find a list of directories. The article directory that we get our best results is EzineArticles.com.

Now, start this process all over again. To be successful with Article marketing you should write a lot of articles and submit them to different directories — you should begin to see a dramatic increase in traffic to your website.
