Are You A Bum?

There’s a new catch-phrase online call bum marketing. What is it?

Bum marketing is really nothing new. The name is new. It’s really article marketing and people have given it a new name. The principles are essentially the same:

  1. Write a bunch of articles and distribute them online
  2. Do this every day
  3. Research your keywords and write keyword-rich articles
  4. Research the articles using your keywords as your springboard

New bum marketers have added a blog and hubs, or Squidoo pages, to the mix. You can do that. Those are just additional inbound links to your website. Not bad to have. But stick to the essence of the marketing plan.

Effective article (bum) marketing relies on two things:

  1. Consistency
  2. Repetition

You have to stick with it and you have to keep doing the same thing over and over again. If you find something that works, keep doing it.

  1. Uhhmmm… no. Bum Marketing is not the same as article marketing.

    I even wrote an entire report about this because everyone gets it wrong.
