Article Marketing Pros: ACP Is Ranked No. 7
I like to do a little competitive research from time to time. One of the tools that I have discovered for doing good competitive research is Myriad Search. This meta search engine compiles results from the top 4 search engines and ranks websites according to their authority on key search terms according to their relative rank in each of those search engines. The Article Content Provider article marketing blog is ranked No. 7 among blogs that rank for the search term “article marketing blog”. That’s not a bad feat considering our first blog post was made on July 14, 2007 (and we haven’t even posted to the blog every day for the last 10 months).
I’d like to take this time to recognize our competition. The top 10 blogs in the article marketing niche are listed below:
- Article Marketing by Garrett Finch - Quite frankly, this one perplexes me. The blog hasn’t been posted to since July 15, 2007, the day after we started this blog. Before that, the blog hadn’t been posted to since November 6, 2005. And it’s located on the biggest spam neighborhood on the Internet - Blogspot. I think Google needs to seriously look at its age-factor algorithm for blogs.
- From The Desk Of Jeff Herring - This guy seems to be real big into teleseminars. That’s not bad, but why does he rank for article marketing? Well, it seems he is peddling templates for articles that he wants you to buy. Cool, if you write your own articles and don’t know what you’re doing.
- The Article Marketing Blog - Good title. Bad delivery. Though I will say this is an improvement over the No. 1 blog in this niche. But you’ll only find 5 blog posts, all from 2007. The last one was in November 2007 even though the copyright at the bottom of the page says 2008. It seems this blog may be a front for something called The Income Academy. Not a real player.
- ArticleSnatch Blog - This is obviously the blog for the article directory ArticleSnatch. Yes, they have recent blog posts, but they don’t talk about article marketing much. And what’s up with that self-promoting ad in the sidebar down below the fold?
- Dane Morgan - Individual blog post by a niche blogger.
- Article Directory Marketing Blog - Just like Nos. 1 and 3 above, this blog hasn’t been posted to since November 2007.
- Article Content Provider - OK, so we don’t post every day. Sorry about that. We do the best we can do. But we do provide you with the most up-to-date blog posts on article marketing and try to make it relevant. Thanks for reading!

- Taff’s Article Directory Blog - Another blog from one of the thousands of article directories out there.
- Marketing Tips n Tools - Not bad, but not focused on article marketing.
If you take out blogs that have no recent posts, don’t focus mostly or entirely on article marketing, aren’t simply one single post about article marketing on a blog about a much broader topic, or that aren’t shills or come ons for other things then it looks like we’re the best thing in town when it comes to getting the best and the latest information on article marketing techniques that work. Why go anywhere else?
