I agree that manual submissions are to be preferred over most article submission software. But if you have a few favorite article directories you like to submit to then Article Submitter is a nice balance between the mass submitters that cost more than they’re worth and the do-it-yourself method of visiting every single site one by one.
You still have to submit to each article directory one at a time, but you only have to input your article once and it does cut down on your submission time. Article Submitter allows you to store your articles inside the software along with the login and password for the article directories of choice. But since you are only inputting this information once and submitting to each site within the software with just a few clicks it will save you some time. The software is a little outdated in that it doesn’t include every article directory available. In fact, some of the best and most popular directories aren’t included at all and some of the ones that are included show to have a lower PageRank than they actually do, but you can add directories manually to the list and you can download the Google toolbar to check the PageRank for yourself. The software is free.
Another method in the article submission process, if you prefer the mass submission route, is a service called iSnare. iSnare charges $2 per article submission and will submit your article to thousands of websites at one time. The websites and directories must sign on to receive those submissions from iSnare. Of course, not all of those websites will use your articles, but out of thousands that receive them your chances of getting a single article published in a hundred or two websites is significantly increased.
